The Float Challenge

Since launching in April 2025, the Foundation has raised more than $50,000 for causes across New Orleans. That momentum keeps growing, but it takes more of our 800 plus members getting involved to reach this year's goal of $100,000 by September 30, 2026. Every member of the KDE Junta has already committed to giving, and while we know not everyone can, we hope all members will consider a gift of any size.

Getting involved is simple. Just Throw Me Something, Mister and let us know your float lieutenant so your gift is properly recognized. Everyone is welcome to take part, including non riding members. Choose the float lieutenant and float you want to support, and your donation will count toward that team's total.

Dic's float and the Banana and Candy wagon positions are not eligible for selection. The group that raises the most will choose its parade spot first, followed by the group with the highest participation. Parade placement remains subject to any restrictions set by the Captain and Committee. Riding members, Dancin' Darlings, non riding members, and senior riders are all welcome to donate and will be recognized together.

Donations and participation must be received by September 30, 2026 to count toward the challenge. Thank you for your commitment to this important effort.
